Pumpkin Chunkin

We are all hesitant to turn on the news or open social media for fear of another senseless tragedy that has taken innocent lives. October 1st 2017 that tragedy was close to home for our community. On that day Heather Alvarado and her friends joined more than 22,000 people in Las Vegas Nevada to enjoy a country music festival. A day that was supposed to be fun and create memories was cut short by a gunman. Heather, along with 58 other people, lost her life that day.

Her husband Albert, a firefighter and first responder, was left to raise their three children without their mother and his partner in life. Homes for Hearts created a fundraiser, that brought the community together in this heartbreaking time, with a fun event to support the Alvarado family. The outpouring of love and support was immeasurable. Thank you southern Utah for coming together and showing your support for this family!
